RDC Red Hot Science

RDC Red Hot Science provides a variety of science experiences for youth in the Central Alberta region.  These include:

Summer Science Camp

  • Designed for kids aged 7 - 14 years, science topics are explored though hands-on activities.
  • Visit Continuing Education for more information.

Cafe Scientific

  • Cafe Scientific provides a forum for discussion of scientific issues for the public. Speakers from universities, institutions, and other organizations are invited  to present on their areas of expertise, followed by a discussion session.  We also host a Science Day, where RDC students present research they have conducted through the year.

Explorations

  • Explorations promote science activities and field trip activities by providing expertise, lab space, equipment, and supplies at a minimal cost to schools in Central Alberta.

Science is Fun

  • These sessions are designed to introduce young children and their parents to science.
  • For information on any of these activities call Nancy McInerney at 403.342.3142, or e-mail nancy.mcinerney@rdc.ab.ca
  • RDC Red Hot Science is funded by RDC and NSERC
