Distance Delivery Apprenticeship classes are open enrollment (no deadline for enrolling). However, all course activities and the progressive exam must be completed by the course end date. Enrollment after January 1 is not recommended. Consult the Instructor for more information.

Concurrent class means: Instructor teaching students in 2 separate periods of training at the same time.
(Each student is studying just one period)
 
Maximum class size is 16 students
  • Classes are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Students are required to bring tools and supplies as per the following table:

Do not include this cost in your registration payment. For Distance delivery courses, modules are supplied online in pdf format. Printing is at the expense of the student.

  • Registration starts May 18, 2012
  • A current class enrolment form and instructions are available by clicking here.
  • You can also enroll in a class by calling toll-free (888) 475-1101.
  • Registration can be done in person at the Access Center.
  • Full fee payment is required at time of enrollment to secure a seat in the class of your choice.  A minimum fee of $200 will be withheld should you cancel your enrollment prior to the first day of class.

    Students Finance

    Applications labeled "Application form for Apprentices" are available from your nearest regional office of Alberta Apprenticeship & Industry Training and from RDC's Access Center.

  • Enquiries can be made by E-mail to Financial Aid & Awards Office , by telephone at (403) 342-3254, or in person at the Financial Aid & Awards Office in the Access Centre. The Financial Aid & Awards Office staff are available daily to assist students in completing their application forms. They also offer the service of sending out completed application forms to Alberta Learning for processing--it's not necessarily faster but it is free of charge and they will check the application for clarity & accuracy before they send it out.     Scholarships

    Alberta Apprenticeship & Industry Training 

    165 new $1,000.00 Apprenticeship Scholarships have been announced by AIT. Complete details can be found at TradeSecrets.

    RDC

    A large number of Apprenticeship Scholarships are administered through RDC's Financial Awards Office. Click here for a list of scholarships available.

    PLAA

    4 Scholarships are awarded each year by the Professional Locksmiths Association of Alberta and generously sponsored by Industry. Application forms are available from the PLAA and from the RDC Locksmith Program office.
