Arts Centre 25th Anniversary

   

Did you know…

• The Arts Centre first opened in 1986
• It was designed by the late Arthur Erickson
• The Arts Centre has housed the training of over 40,000 actors, technicians, musicians, filmmakers, and dancers.
• Over the past 25 years the Arts Centre has welcomed one million audience members and more than 5,000 performances and events. 

 

 

Open Call for Performing Artists!

Red Deer College is hosting an Open Call for local performing artists for a showcase performance in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the RDC Arts Centre & Alberta Arts Day 2011 Weekend of September 29-October 2.  The showcase performance will take place Saturday, October 1, 2011 on Mainstage at the RDC Arts Centre.

Details
• Open to residents of Red Deer and Red Deer County only
• Artists must complete the open call entry form and provide the supportive materials outlines in the form
• All disciplines and genres are encouraged to submit
• No submission fee
• Deadline for submissions is Monday, August 1, 2011

The Arts Centre 25th Anniversary Launch weekend will feature family-friendly cultural activities and free evening Mainstage showcases  highlighting alumni and local artists.
