Bergen Rocks kicks off at RDC with international sculptors
Red Deer, July 25, 2011 – Bergen Rocks will begin at RDC on Thursday, July 28 with a kick-off at 10:00am under the Four Centres east awning. Come meet the international sculptors and hear from the organizers of the event, and see the stone marble before it takes shape!
The Symposium will be open to the public six days a week for viewing (closed Tuesdays) and the month will culminate with a closing reception on Sunday, August 28. The process will involve the sculpting of over a hundred thousand pounds of stone that has been shipped to RDC from Vietnam.
Bergen Rocks has been held at the Morton Burke acreage in Bergen, Alberta for the past three years. This symposium will kick off as the annual Series Summer School of the Arts comes to a close at RDC for 2011.
