Heavy Rain Affects RDC Last Night
Regular Business as Repairs and Clean-Up Under Way
Red Deer, July 20, 2011 - RDC has been affected by the large storm that roared through central Alberta last evening. No one has been injured, and those in the affected areas last evening where evacuated to other areas of campus.
A variety of leaks created pools of water in a handful of locations on campus. The largest areas affected were the Library and Arts Centre. However, crews were busy working last night to fix the leaks across campus, and the water has been cleaned up.
Summer camps and other activities on RDC’s campus are normal as usual today. Crews will continue work to finish repairing leaks and clean up damage in affected areas as quickly as they are able.
