Red Deer, July 13, 2011 – Don`t miss out on summertime free concerts at RDC with performances by faculty, guests and students at this year`s Musicamp Alberta.
MusiCamp Alberta, Alberta’s Provincial Summer Music Workshop sponsored by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts takes place at RDC from July 24 – August 13.
In addition to Senior and Junior Bands, Musical Theatre and Piano workshops and specialized instruction to MusiCamp students, there are a variety of concerts featuring members of the faculty and guests during the camp. These concerts are free of charge and are open to the general public. Come and support these exceptional professional musicians from across Alberta as they participate in Alberta’s largest and longest running summer music program.

RDC is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Arts Centre. First opened in 1986, this state-of-the-art community performing arts centre has housed the training of over 40,000 actors, technicians, musicians, filmmakers, and dancers that contribute to the vibrant arts and cultural scene of Alberta. 25 years has culminated in approximately one million audience members who have been entertained, taught and delighted during more than 5,000 performances and events.
