Music Scholarship Competition winners

Red Deer, January 13, 2012 – The RDC Music program is pleased to announce the winners of the Music Scholarship Competition that took place on Thursday, January 12 on the Arts Centre Mainstage.  

The winners are:

2nd place Phoebe Mankasingh

Instrument 
1st place Coltan Shell 
2nd place Marc Vantol

Voice  
1st place Kaylee Grobe
2nd place Erin Glover

Guitar   
1st place Brodie Keating
2nd place Kyle Hansen
 

Prize money valuing $4000 was given to the winners of the live-judged competition: $750 for first prize and $250 for second prize.  The scholarships were granted through funds raised at the annual Affairs of the Arts, which enables RDC to enhance learning experiences and provide scholarships and awards to deserving students.

The event was judged by guest adjudicators Charles Austin, Bobby Cairns, Allan Gilliland and Jolaine Kerley.
