RDC Announces Red Deer Bottling Small Business Award

Red Deer, September 12, 2011 – RDC is pleased to announce a generous tuition credit that is open to small businesses in the central Alberta region. The $5000 award presented by Red Deer Bottling will be granted to one business that employs 25 employees or less and has not previously received the award.

“The tuition credit is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to take advantage of what the Donald School of Business has to offer,” says Joanne Packham Dean of the Donald School of Business located in downtown Red Deer. “It highlights RDC’s commitment to listening to and responding to the community’s educational needs.”

The award can be applied to credit or non-credit courses or programs through the Donald School of Business and can be used for programs and courses on site, online, or at RDC. “This award is one way RDC is involved to help local businesses remain competitive by offering access to training,” says Packham. “We hope employers will take advantage of the opportunity to apply for this award.”

Successful applicants for the award in the past have demonstrated community leadership, excellence in customer service, and innovation in product development and marketing.

The award is self-nominating and will be based on a 500 word narrative that describes how the nominated business stands out in its pursuit of innovation, excellence and entrepreneurship. The deadline has been extended to October 14, 2011.
