RDC in the World - Celebrating Diversity
Red Deer, March 17, 2010 – The world is full of fascinating cultures and RDC is gearing up to celebrate that diversity with RDC in the World running on campus from March 22 – April 1.
A variety of free events, films, and presentations will be hosted on campus -. Everyone is welcome to participate – general public, as well as RDC students, faculty and staff.
Come together as a global community, take time to learn about current issues and become passionately engaged in the world around you!

Study Abroad Information Session: Find out where you can earn RDC credit outside of Red Deer! Study Tours, student exchanges and overseas work opportunities will be showcased.

Film and Panel Discussion: The Greatest Silence
Social Workers from the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton will join us for an eye-opening presentation and film screening. The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo is a documentary which focuses on the many tens of thousands of women and girls who have been systematically kidnapped, raped, and tortured by soldiers from both foreign militias and the Congolese army. Cultural Café: Find out about inter-cultural communication. This is a fun, interactive social gathering where people of different cultures will share their views on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
