RDC takes our mandate to provide learning opportunities for all central Albertans seriously. The people we serve will have a foundation of knowledge and skills which enables them to develop to their full potential. To meet this promise, we must imagine what central Alberta will become as demographics change, business and industry continues to grow, and central Alberta communities are challenged to keep their youth.

At RDC we believe that we can be an effective partner with our surrounding communities, our government, business and industry, and other post-secondary institution partners to ensure we help prepare an advanced skilled work force ready to meet current and future challenges and opportunities.

The importance of Red Deer College to the communities of central Alberta has been well documented. RDC has always been about meeting the learning needs of our students.  Our faculty and staff over the last 48 years have made a difference in the lives of thousands of students.

We want to continue to grow our capacity to continue that good work - raising participation rates, improving completion rates, and ensuring everyone who wishes to attend a post-secondary institution in central Alberta can do so. Quality programs, well delivered in flexible learning spaces enables RDC to improve our capacity to do just that.
