Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

Supporting Knowledge Exchange to Mobilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to Rural Mental Health Services

Scope:  Three components

  1. Development of CoP to facilitate knowledge exchange
  2. Mobilizing SFBT to rural mental health
  3. Evaluation at 3 levels- Individual (confidence levels), Team (efficient use of time/resources)and Organization (recruitment and retention type concerns; # of clients seen)

The project will evaluate client satisfaction; level of self-efficacy before and following brief therapy, and # of sessions attended (provided CoP members are also practicing therapists). This data could then be compared to data from other therapists not using SFBT as the primary therapeutic modality.
