General structure:
Major Code ONLY
The word ONLY indicates that this particular course section is restricted to students in the major code identified.
Major Code (Number)
The comment indicates that this section of the course has reserved seats for students in the program codes listed and the number in parenthesis indicates the number of seats reserved for those students. Course reserves are monitored from March until August and may be lifted for the non-program students. Specific Codes:
AD MUST Register with Advisor
The course is restricted to Bachelor of Education students that will be transferring to the University of Alberta or the University of Lethbridge. Registration must be approved by an Academic Advisor in person; this course is not available for web registration.

Distance Learning
Distance Learning is the name we use for classes that go beyond the bounds of the traditional classroom at RDC. Distance Learning is a way to extend education and training beyond the walls of the College. For learners, this can mean better learning in self-paced environments in ways that fit into lives already busy with family, work and other responsibilities. There are many ways to learn, depending on the particular course that you choose. The student and instructor utilize the World Wide Web as a major or predominant component of the course. In Online Learning courses, students interact with other learners and with their instructor via the World Wide Web. This virtual classroom is characterized by both synchronous and asynchronous communications. Online Learning courses generally have no on-site or face-to-face requirements
