Transfer to University Degree Programs
Note: [Four year degree programs typically have 40 courses or 120 credits, that is, 10 three-credit courses each year.]
With a 2 year ELCC Diploma, you can receive credit and transfer into these programs:
- Bachelor of Education at University of Alberta - receive 27 credits (9 courses) toward a four year education degree. You can get the second year at RDC and then go to UofA for the last two years of early childhood education. You can take the Middle Years BEd program here at RDC.
- Bachelor of Arts from University of Calgary (at RDC) in English, Psychology or Sociology - receive one full year credit (30 credits - 10 courses) towards this four year degree.
- Degree in Youth and Child Care at University of Victoria (Distance or on-campus) - receive about 1 2/3 years of transfer credit.
- Bachelor of Professional Arts from Athabasca University (Distance Education) - receive two full years of credit towards a four year degree.
- Degree in Human Ecology at University of Alberta- specialization in Family Studies - receive two full years of credit towards a four year degree.
- Applied Degree in Child Studies at Mount Royal College - receive two full years credit.
- Applied Degree in Human Services Administration at Grant McEwan College- receive two full years credit.
- Degree in Community Rehabilitation at University of Calgary - receive two full years of credit towards a four year degree.
- Negotiations can be initiated with most related university programs, e.g. University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge give one year credit toward human services related degrees.

Make appointments to discuss transfer arrangements with the institutional personnel from the program you want to attend.
