Distance Learning
The Educational Assistant Distance Learning Program uses multiple technologies to assist students.
We are currently using Blackboard and Wimba (web based audio) to provide instruction. All distance learning students registered in the EA program make e-mail, telephone, and chat room contact with faculty, classmates and help resources from RDC.
The majority of our students come from Western Canada. However, we have students from as far away as the East Coast! The red dots on the map below indicate the locations of current or successful RDC Educational Assistant students.
Requirements for Distance Learning Students:
- Access to a computer (with a speaker and mic)
- Internet access
- E-mail access
Most audio classes are approximately two hours long every second week.
