Welcome to our Nursing Department home page - I hope the information included here will assist you with your decision making and planning.

We offer a variety of programs in our department: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Practical Nurse, and Health Care Aide.  Many students choose to study at Red Deer College because we provide the opportunity for students to learn in a supportive environment, with small classes in which you receive individual attention.

Our department mission statement provides the framework within which we work.  Key elements of the statement are the importance of relationships, the promotion of personal growth, a focus on excellence and the absolute belief that our graduates have an impact on, and make a difference to, the health of others.  Our job as faculty is to create a learning and work environment that supports these beliefs.
