Begin a rewarding career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the two year Practical Nurse Diploma Program at RDC. This program prepares graduates to work as part of the health care team in a wide variety of clinical settings.

Learning takes place in classroom, lab, and clinical practice environments, eg. Continuing care facilities, medical, and surgical units. Opportunities to explore maternity, outpatient, pediatrics, home care, and emergency are included in a focused practicum. A 4-week preceptored final practicum completes the two year program.

A challenging curriculum is offered with an emphasis on developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet the beginning competencies for Licensed Practical Nurses in Alberta. Graduates of this program are eligible to write the national licensure exam for LPNs and are highly sought after by employers.
