What is the U of C Bachelor of Arts Collaborative Degree Program?

Complete your U of C  B.A. Degree at the RDC campus. Apply for an English, Psychology, or Sociology major in your 2nd year at RDC. Contact Tanya Harding for help applying.  

How do I send my official transcripts to the U of C?

1) Order your official transcripts from:

  • High school Transcripts  (from outside Alberta)
  • RDC Transcript:  through the Loop
  • Other Postsecondary Institutions: request directly from the institution you attended.

2) Send all transcripts by June 30 to U of C Admissions, 2500 University Dr. NW, Calgary AB, T2N 1N4.

Do I need a U of C ID card?

Yes, so you can access the U of C library. Contact Tanya Harding to get your card.

General Student Questions

How do I check my U of C grades?
Log on to your My U of C Student Center. Select the "Grades" & term.

Can I take a class from another institution (i.e. - Athabasca University)?

  1. Yes, if you have remaining transfer credit. 
  2. Contact Tanya Harding to ensure the class you want will transfer.
  3. Request "Permission to take courses from another institution" on your My U of C
      Student Center   (under the "Other Academic" menu).
  4. Send the U of C your official transcript for the course at least 2 months before you expect to graduate.

How do I get an Honours degree?

Discuss your interest with Tanya Harding.

  • English or Sociology Students: Apply to Honours on your My U of C Student Center (under "Change of Program") before June 1st.
  • Psychology: Apply to Honours on your My U of C Student Center (under "Change of Program") before April 1st. **NOTE: As of Fall 2010, we will be piloting the B.A. Psychology Honours program @ RDC. You may still need to attend the U of C campus in your 4th year to complete a Psychology Honours degree. See Tanya for more info. 

How do I know which classes I still need?

Access Degree Navigator through My U of C to see your completed and outstanding requirements. Contact the U of C Student Success Centre at success@ucalgary.ca with any questions.

How do I graduate?

1. Apply for Grad on your My U of C Student Center (under the "Other Academic" menu)
    before Feb.1 for June convocation or before Aug. 15 for November convocation.
2. Declare your Convocation Status on your My U of C Student Center, to get your degree
    parchment

Attending Convocation: You may attend both the U of C and RDC ceremonies.

Fees / Benefits

How do I pay my U of C fees?

Confirm that the amount owing on your Student Center is correct. ("Account Activity" displays a total amount breakdown). Pay via on-line banking.

How do student loans work?

RDC Funding and Awards Office can assist you with applying & signing, etc.

How does Health and Dental Coverage work?

As a full-time U of C student, you automatically get Health and Dental coverage. You can opt out if you have alternate coverage. Complete the waiver form & fax to U of C Benefits Office at 1.403.282.2729.

How do I get my T2202A tax form?

At the end of February, your U of C T2202A form is posted on your My U of C Student Center under the "Other Academic" & "Other Financial" menus.

Technical Questions

Can I use the 2506 computer lab after office hours?
Yes! - ask Tanya Harding to set up your access.

How do I access U of C Blackboard for my classes with U of C instructors?
By logging in to My U of C.

I forgot my username and password to log on to My U of C!
Call the U of C Help Desk at 1.403.220.5555 to get your information reset.

Can I still be on sports teams & the Students' Association at RDC?
Absolutely!!
