Coach Bio - Chad Cargill:
In his eighth year as head coach of the Red Deer College Kings and Queens Badminton Team, Chad Cargill has continued to build the RDC program and has kept them competitive against some of the best teams in the country.
Chad has created a total team approach, with great emphasis on work ethic and team unity. A philosophy stressing player development and accountability both on and off the court has been his mantra, and while his players won’t win 100 percent of their matches, you are guaranteed to see 100 percent effort in each one of those battles.
Playing badminton himself for four years at both RDC and NAIT, Chad had the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the ACAC and still uses many of those techniques to this day.
Off the court, Chad is continuously promoting the sport of badminton in Central Alberta and has seen a number of his players go on to coaching at high schools around Red Deer.
Chad continues to play in the provincial series events across the province and is working on developing tournaments for players in the central Alberta region.
