2009-2010 RDC Queens Soccer Coaches

The 2009 season for the RDC Queens started off on a great note, recording 3 wins off the start and the team looked to be one of the strongest teams ever to be fielded at RDC in the history of RDC women’s soccer.  A good strong bench was an indicator that the team was destined for success.  Midway through the season, however, the team suffered several key injuries which made its season more of a challenge.  We ended with a 4-4-2 record, placing us second in the Southern Division of the ACAC, thereby making the playoffs for the fifth year in a row.  Unfortunately, another devastating injury early in the first play-off game resulted in the Queens not having any of their starting strikers remaining.  The final score against MacEwan was a 3-0 loss for the Queens, thus eliminating the Queens from the playoffs.  On a positive note, 5th-year player Samantha Vockeroth was the Alberta selection for the CCAA All-Star team and went on to represent Alberta at the nationals. She is the fourth RDC Queens Soccer player to represent Alberta in the CCAA All-Star category in the last nine years.

The Queens have now moved into the indoor season and plan limited participation in the exhibition ACAC Futsal season.
