Coach Bio - Aaron Schulha

Aaron Schulha is going into his fifth year as the head coach of the Red Deer College Kings.  He took over the program in 2007 from former head coach and mentor, Keith Hansen.
Prior to taking over the RDC program, Aaron was an assistant coach with the University of Alberta Golden Bears for one season.

Before turning to the coaching, Aaron had a successful playing career including winning 3 straight CCAA National Championships with the RDC Kings, as well as a CIS silver and a CIS Championship with the U of A Golden Bears.  In the summer of 2005, he was a member of the Canadian National Team and represented Canada at the World University (FISU) Games in Turkey.  He was lucky enough to return to the FISU Games in 2009 in Serbia, but this time as an assistant coach.

Coach Schulha believes strongly in creating a “family” environment.  We strive for excellence on the volleyball court but equally as important are the relationships that our student-athletes develop during their time at RDC.  We strongly believe that our Kings Volleyball players are better people upon leaving this institution and embarking on the next chapter of their lives.

Asst. Coach Bio - Terence McMullen

Terence joined the Kings Coaching staff in 2005 under Keith Hansen, and returned in 2007 when Coach Schulha took over the team.  He has been coaching at all levels in the Kings system since 1999.  He has also been an assistant coach with the University of Alberta Golden Bears program during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.  He is also currently the Senior Boys coach at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School.

Terence played his collegiate volleyball at RDC from 1998-2002, where he was a part of 3 CCAA National Championship teams and 1 CCAA Bronze Medalist team.

Asst. Coach Bio - Blake Henwood

Blake joined the Kings as an assistant coach in 2009. Prior to that he was an assistant coach for Terry Danyluk at the University of Alberta. He has also coached within the Kings club system as well as the Red Deer Public School division, where he is currently employed.

Blake had a successful college career as a setter winning 3 straight CCAA national championships under Keith Hansen at Red Deer College. After that he spent two seasons with the Alberta Golden Bears winning silver medals in both years at the CIS national championships.
