Rookie of the Year – Eric deWit

Playing on a team with 9 rookie players Eric’s play continually improved throughout the year. One of our more experienced tournament players. Eric was a member of our travelling team for all 3 tournaments in 2009. Although somewhat inconsistent in his play, Eric was an integral member of our bronze place finish at the ACAC Conference Championship. Not only did Eric compete well, he also participated in every event we held throughout the year and was one of the leaders of our team. Eric had a great future ahead of him and is a deserving recipient of this award.

Most Improved Player – Jordan Stevens

Jordan is a deserving recipient of this award as his drive and dedication to improving was realized during the 2009 golf season. Jordan started working seriously on his game in the spring of 2009 knowing that he wanted to play college golf. After countless hours of instruction and improving his technique, Jordan took his knowledge and applied it by playing and practicing – ultimately lowering his handicap to a competitive level. Jordan led the men’s team to a 4th place finish in men’s individual standings and assisted the men in capturing their first ever bronze medal at the ACAC Conference Championship.
