This was Lisa’s rookie year and came out of a successful 1A program where she averaged 45 points a game. It took a few months of getting used to the ACAC pace but by half way through the season we saw Lisa emerge as a dominate post secondary players and scorer. Lisa had several games where she scored 25 points and was the averaged the high score for our team this year. Congrats to Lisa and we are all excited to see you dominate in your 2nd year.

| Coaches Award – Austin Jones |
|
Austin has been a dedicated Queen to the basketball program for the last 3 years. Her hard work and dedication has not gone un-noticed and has been appreciated by teammates and the coaching staff. Although this past year was her first official year as captain, behaviorally she has been exemplifying many of those characteristics since she became a Queen. As she follows her passion in nursing, I imagine she will bring her same work ethic to the profession. Thank you Austin – we wish you all the best.

| Most Valuable Player – Trudie LeFurgey |
| Trudie came here from Chestermere and was not quite sure if she wanted to play basketball after high school. Since then Trudie has been one of the founding athletes to contribute to the recent success of the Queens Program. As a captain the last two year, she has led our young squads to keep working hard in order to achieve their goals while being a consistent go-go gadget defensive stops and offensive threat. As she moves on in the profession of nursing, she will be greatly missed by the Queens. |
