What does Access & Excellence mean for you and your community?

Access:  bursaries reduce financial barriers to attend the College.
Excellence:  scholarships attract students who then stay in central Alberta.
Access & Excellence:  increases students' opportunities to achieve their full potential.

Increased support for students
We are committed to Access & Excellence (A&E)! These initiatives will keep more of central Alberta's learners in the region, contributing their skills and energy to our growth.  A&E will increase the value of our awards, scholarships, bursaries and endowments available to our learners - more than $5 million has been raised towards student support thus far. Meaning, since the commencement of the BCTL Campaign in 2006, 63 new endowments have been created, resulting in 168 new financial awards. See the chart below for further detail on awards and scholarship growth statistics thus far. We'll continue to raise funds for students to meet the critical growing need of students in these difficult economic times.

New and expanded learning programs
Building Communities Through Learning not only expands the number of students who can take advantage of existing programs, but creates new and innovative cross-disciplinary learning programs. RDC is also expanding degree-completion options for central Albertans.
