Directions for Growth

RDC fosters learners with the strong educational background and technical skills needed to succeed in emerging industries. We also nurture a genuine appreciation for and dedication to our community. These efforts are creating tomorrow’s diverse and talented work force.

Health – education and wellness go hand in hand

As a community, we must keep discovering the best ways to support healthy living, especially with the demographic shift to an aging population. The timing is critical as the demand for accessible health care increases in central Alberta.

In addition to news facilities and programs, we are building new relationships with organizations that share a focus on our region’s health and wellness.

Active Living – fit and fun

People in our communities are looking for more opportunities to stay active – to be fit, play sports and engage in a variety of recreation activities.

To integrate fitness and healthy lifestyles with our daily lives, RDC is focusing on creating a healthy community.

Business & Entrepreneurship – giving entrepreneurs a helping hand

Central Alberta is already a hub of energy and entrepreneurship. We plan to build on that strength by finding new and exciting ways to support and sustain the lifeblood of our regional identity – our small and medium-sized businesses.

The Donald School of Business, with its new location at RDC's downtown campus, will focus on student and local business needs. In addition to the J.B. Quinn Centre for Corporate Training, Continuing Education business programming will also be offered at the Millennium Centre Campus downtown.
