Centre for Visual Art
Visual Arts are thriving in Alberta
New and expanded programs, facilities and scholarships are needed to meet growing student and community demand. With the development of the new Centre, central Albertans will enjoy:
- inspiring and functional spaces
- larger, healthier and safer spaces
- increased collaborative opportunities
- increased enrolment capacity for Visual Art credit and non-credit programs
- increased student and public access to the Permanent Art Collection

Creative collaboration
Studios have significant infrastructure needs (air circulation, exhaust venting, storage space and more). Our new Centre for Visual Art will be co-located with the three other new Centres for Trades & Technology, Innovation in Manufacturing and Corporate Training. This will encourage skill-sharing, collaboration and awareness between students and instructors. It's a practical combination - and a creative one!
Become part of the picture
We look forward to involving students of all ages, artists, educators, community members and patrons of the arts in making this Centre a wonderful addition to the colourful canvas that is central Alberta! All equipment and space were filled for the commencement of the Centre's non-credit program, Series, on July 1, 2009.
