BONJOUR LA BONJOUR
By Michel Tremblay
Translated by Bill Glassco
1970s Montreal:  On a desperate search for happiness, Serge returns home from Europe to face both his past and his future.  Surrounded by possessive aunts, obsessive sisters and dark family secrets, he confronts his stifling family, the kinds of love they offer him and the kinds he needs from them.  Now, amidst the shame that his forbidden truth brings, Serge seeks peace with the sister he loves, and the father he has almost lost.

From Quebec’s most revered playwright; a finely crafted drama that uses language and relationships like musical variations to expose a family of desperate women and wicked men.

“Theatre does not often touch the heart the way this modest masterpiece by Michel Tremblay succeeds in doing.” – The Globe and Mail
