Trades Preparation and Exploration

This 20 week certificate program will create opportunities for learners to acquire the knowledge, skills and values for entry into a trades career. The curriculum includes math, science and reading skills to ensure that graduates will be able to successfully complete technical training in their chosen trade.

Students will learn about different career paths in the skilled trades and they will have a hands-on, in-depth exploration of three different trades in Red Deer College's state-of-the art apprenticeship training facilities under the guidance of qualified journeyperson instructors.
