Cindy Messaros
Cindy’s classes are lively & entertaining. She uses authentic materials and situations to teach. Her classes focus on the students’ unique learning needs. Students watch and listen to television shows for discussion, writing, use the computer for research, listening and speaking activities. Cindy’s goal is to help the students achieve a high degree of communicative competence.
Myrna Glenn
Myrna has been an RDC instructor for 18 years. She enjoys teaching ESL because she believes that ESL students are the best students in the world! Myrna plays learning games in class & focuses on writing skills that are key to helping students attain successful careers. Celebrations & outings are an important part of Myrna’s classes—birthdays, family events, & holidays are cause for celebration & outings, like scavenger hunts, wiener roasts, and hikes in the Rocky Mountains.
Brendan Richardson
Brendan aims to make classes informative & interesting, drawing on his creativity and sense of humour to enhance learning. With 10 years of teaching overseas and in Canada, he understands the challenges students face in a new country and wants to equip them with the skills to flourish. Brendan has worked as a newspaper reporter, so is very interested in current events and uses this to help students understand Canadian culture and thought.
Jayne Carlielle
Jayne has taught ESL to adults from many countries and cultures. She volunteer teaches English to teachers at a trade school in Rwanda. She enjoys seeing students’ English improve, so they are better able to fully participate in student life, the community and the workplace. Jayne’s special interest is using computers in ESL learning and she aims to provide students with tools they can use to access some of the high quality resources that are available on the Internet.
