Angelique Gillespie

Angelique Gillespie focuses her artwork on the whimiscal. After she received her Visual Arts Diploma from ACAD she worked at Foothills Hospital as medical Illustrator. Angelique went back to school in 1998 to receive her BFA and focus fulltime on sharing her passion for teaching through the arts. Visual Journaling which started at ACAD as a class project, has continued for 30 years as a record of daily events, ideas and feelings. In the past 20 years, Angelique has shared her passion for sketching and journaling in Calgary schools with both students and teachers. She has taught various workshops in Sketchbook/Visual Journaling in Alberta and BC as well as presenting workshops to teachers on PD days or at the teachers convention.
Angelique is a gifted art teacher inspiring others to find their own authentic self through the arts. She taught Continuing Education Classes at ACAD for 17 years and has been the University of Calgary for the past 9 years. Angelique is a signature member of the Alberta Society of Artists , The Federation Of Canadian Artists and in the Artist Circle, Second Generation at the Triangle Gallery in Calgary.
