Gilles Payette

After graduating in wood sculpture in 1973, Gille's training goes to bronze and aluminium casting, to glass when he fell head first into a crucible 19 years ago. After working with Francois Houde, Bertil vallien, Gene Koss, and Hank Murta Adams, Gilles decided to build a glass casting studio...in his home...close to the kitchen…what a mess…
He moved 5 years after and built a 60'X30' casting studio in the country.
After doing a lot of shows and production pieces in Canada and USA, he went back to his original training, sculptural pieces.
Now his work is almost all sculptural, and his pieces can be see at SOFA show , Gallery and true Collector, and around Canada, USA, and Europe.
Gilles also works on projects under the policy of Integrating Art into Architecture of public building call ( 1% programs) where he integrates large scale sculptural pieces.
