Samantha daSilva

Samantha daSilva was born in the coastal city of Santos, Brazil. Influenced at an early age by her artistic family, daSilva experimented with a variety of mediums before discovering her passion for abstract painting.

As an emerging artist, daSilva is quickly gaining momentum in the Alberta art scene. Since 2008, her work has been shown in over 100 different venues including the Calgary Timeraiser and the distinguished Cultural Intersection Exhibition in the City of Calgary Municipal Building and EPCOR Centre.

daSilva’s most recent achievements include a curatorial position for the bi-annual Surfacing Exhibition for emerging abstract painters at the Calgary School of Art Calgary, and as a Summer Series instructor at Red Deer College.
