Sarah Cale
Sarah Cale is a visual artist currently residing in Toronto, Canada. She studied fine art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the University of Guelph. Her work explores an intersection of painting and collage, drawing attention to paint and the surface it is applied to in experimental collage techniques. In both 2009 and 2010 she was shortlisted for the prestigious RBC painting award. Her work was recently shown in a solo exhibition at Jessica Bradley Art + Projects in 2011 and one upcoming in 2012. She has been included in recent group exhibitions at the Musee D’Art Contemporain, Montreal (2009), the Power Plant, Toronto (2010), and Maison Rouge, 2011 (Paris) and will be included in New Painting in Canada at the Aresenal, Montreal (2012).
