Study Skills
Study skills help you understand, remember and apply the knowledge you are learning in your classes. We’ll give you some techniques to help with multiple choice exams and what you should be jotting down in your classes. Workshops, small group instruction, and individual appointments are available on topics, including (but not limited to):
- How to read your textbooks
- How to take great notes
- How to manage your time
- How to maximize YOUR learning style
- How to chill out before your exams
- How to concentrate and memorize
Math Skills
Math can be challenging, but you can meet the challenge and we are here to help! Sign up in Room 1402 for a half hour appointment with our math tutor. The tutor can help you with all kinds of math including calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and trades mathematics. If you just have a quick question, you can pop by during regularly scheduled drop-in times.
Peer to Peer
Sometimes learning is easier when you’re working with a peer. Students with expertise in a variety of subjects are available to help you out if you’re having a tough time ... in any subject. Come to room 1402 and fill out a peer tutor request form.
