Transfer Difficulties

Most universities look at one of three things to decide whether you’re admissible to their program:

  1. College grades, courses, and number of transfer credits completed
  2. High school grades and courses completed
  3. Various combinations of the above

If you withdraw from a course, you may not have enough credits or the right courses to be eligible for a particular program at a university. Withdrawing from a course may affect your eligibility for admission, or the basis of admission to a university. For more details, check under Admission requirements in the university calendar.

Some universities limit the number of times you can attempt a particular course. E.g. Joe Smith taking the same course three times might not be allowed. Withdrawing from a course may also affect your ability to retake that course at another institution.
