Internships & Awards

The Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP) enables post-secondary students enrolled in a degree program in Alberta to study and work alongside recognized scholars, scientists, and educators in a variety of disciplines, either at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., or at one of its affiliated sites elsewhere in the world. The ASIP is committed to annually funding 10 students who meet specific eligibility criteria, each with an internship of up to $6,000.00. The duration of an internship varies from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 4 months.
