Residence Apprentice Information
RDC Residence tries to accommodate every type of student. We accommodate traditional single students, students with families, mature students, and students with disabilities. It is in this mantra, that we also accommodate students that are here for a short period of time taking Apprenticeship courses. We house Apprentices that are here for 6 weeks, all the way up to 12 weeks, in courses such as: Sprinkler Systems Installer, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Steam/Pipe Fitter, Locksmith, Carpenter, and other courses that RDC offers.

Residence Application Form
If you are interested in living at RDC Residence we strongly encourage you to apply. Stop by the Residence Administration building and pick up an application form, and if you are not in Red Deer, phone the Residence Office and we can mail or fax a copy to your home address. Click on the link to the right to download our Apprentice Residence Application form.
The application form can be mailed, faxed, or brought into the Residence Office. There is a $20 non-refundable application fee to apply for Residence. The application fee can be paid over the phone by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, mailing a cheque, or paid directly at the Residence Office.
Apprenticeship students may apply at any time to live in Residence as long as they have applied for their courses for the corresponding time frame.
Apprentice Facilities & Rates
Each Apprentice unit houses 4 Apprentices, each receiving their own bedroom with a locking door. Each unit comes with a single bed, desk and chair (in the bedroom), tables & chairs, fridge and stove, and a couch. Each unit also comes with one and a half bath, kitchen, living room and unfinished basement. Linens and towels are not provided, nor are any kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. Cable is included in each unit in the living room, however, no television is provided. Coin operated washers and dryers are available in the Residence Administration Building or the Common Building.

Moving In & Moving Out
Check in is from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday at the Residence Administration Building. Those persons needing to move in on Sunday can contact the "Resident Assistant on Duty" before 10pm at cell number 391-8434.
Check out is 1:00pm on the last day of class. Keys MUST be turned in to the Residence Office by 1:00pm, the last day of your lease. If you do not turn in your keys by 1:00pm, you will be charged $10 for each hour thereafter until the keys are in. There is a $50 charge for keys not returned.
