Residence Location
RDC is located in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. To reach our campus from Alberta highway 2, take the 32nd Street exit eastbound. Turn south at College Boulevard (the main College entrance is marked by a lighted sign). To find the Residences, follow College Boulevard and take your first left onto College Circle. After you have driven over 2 speedbumps, take a left turn and you will find the Block Rowhouses. If you keep going straight after the first 2 speedbumps, you will notice the Cluster Rowhouses on your left hand side. This will eventually lead you to the Residence Administration Building, that is very clearly marked. If you follow that road past the Admin Building, you will see the Family Townhouses. Directly behind the Townhouses are the Tower units that are directly attached to the main College building.
The RDC Residences are within a few minutes drive to the city center.
Unit Furnishings
Each bedroom has a single bed (Rowhouse beds have drawers underneath), desk, desk chair, and a closet. The living room has a couch, chair, and coffee tables. The kitchen has a table and chairs. All windows have drapes or blinds. This furniture is to NOT leave the units. You may bring your own chairs and couches, but the furniture that is originally there must stay there.
Each kitchen has a stove, oven and fridge. The bachelor units have two burners and a fridge. Bachelor units do not have ovens. The units in the barrier free wing have microwave/convection ovens.
The Family Townhouse kitchens come with a fridge, stove, and oven. The Townhouses also come equipped with drapes/blinds for all windows. The 2 bedroom Townhouses are furnished with washers and dryers. The 4 bedroom Townhouses have hook-ups for washers and dryers. The rest of the Townhouse is unfurnished.
