Security Deposits
Once you have received your acceptance letter to RDC Residence, a reservation deposit is required to reserve your unit before you arrive, and to act as a security deposit throughout your stay. The security deposit for family residents is $600. The security deposit for everyone else is $400. Once you have your acceptance letter, the faster you get your security deposit in the better. You can do so by phoning in a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express number, mailing a cheque or stopping by the office and paying the deposit. The deposit is refundable in whole, or in part, depending on the condition you leave your unit in.
Residence Lease
Once you have been accepted into RDC Residence for any period of time (a full or partial academic year, summer accommodation, etc) all types of students, upon arrival, must sign the Residence Rental Agreement Lease. The Residence Lease is a binding legal document and it is very important that the signee regard it in such a manner. As the Residence Lease is a binding document, it is followed very closely and referred to throughout your stay here, so please read it carefully when signing. If, when arriving, you are under 18 years of age, you must have a parent or legal guardian with you to sign the lease.
