  • Urban centre surrounded by a beautiful natural environment
  • Beautiful, safe, small city located along the Red Deer River
  • The Rocky Mountains are within easy driving distance
  • Alberta sun shines throughout the cold winters and warm summers

If your child is an active type, he or she can take advantage of the Canyon Ski Area, hiking and biking trails of Waskasoo Park, an indoor running track at Collicutt Centre, 13 golf courses, swimming pools, skating rinks, shopping centres, three movie theatres and nearly 170 restaurants.

If your child prefers to watch sports, there is always the title-winning RDC Kings and Queens, or Red Deer’s own Rebels ... or, if he or she is up for a road trip, they can watch the Flames, Hitmen, Stampeders and Roughnecks in Calgary ... or the Oilers, Oil Kings, Eskimos and Rush in Edmonton ... or they can always come home to visit you, too!
