What is ILL?
ILL stands for interlibrary loan. ILL is a service whereby a user of one library can borrow books or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library. The user makes a request with their local library (in this case, RDC). RDC Library will identify owners of the desired item, place the request, receive the item, make it available to you, and arrange for its return (if necessary).

How long does it take to receive the material I requested?
For articles found at U of A, U of C and CISTI, it usually takes 3 to 5 working days (Monday to Friday, do not count weekends) to process a request and receive it. For other libraries, it can take longer.
For non-NEOS books, it usually takes 7 working days for delivery. However, depending on where we locate the item, it could take up to a couple of weeks.
