Red Deer College has purchased Public Performance Rights for videos and DVDs in its collection. These items may be shown in the classroom without seeking further copyright permission, and without reporting their use.
In addition, Red Deer College has negotiated two licenses, with Audio-Cine and Criterion, to broaden the scope of the films we can use in the classroom. If you show a film from one of these producers in the classroom, then no further copyright permission is required.
Check the Producer List to determine if your film's producer is covered by one of the licenses; feature film producers not represented by these licenses need to be contacted directly for permission to show their films.
