Research at RDC

Research at Red Deer College provides innovative and collaborative opportunities for community partners, business and industry, along with students, faculty and staff. Many diverse projects have been successfully undertaken, supporting applied learning for students, community initiatives, innovation and manufacturing across central Alberta and beyond.

Supporting Research

With more than 100 programs offered at RDC, faculty and staff have strong expertise across a range of disciplines, allowing them to share knowledge and research opportunities with students. This enhances student learning, while also increasing collaboration between faculty, students and partners as they undertake unique projects across a wide variety of topics.

Business, industry and innovators can draw on the experience and assistance of faculty, students and the staff in Applied Research and Innovation. Community and non-profit organizations also benefit from research partnerships with RDC, drawing on the expertise and support from staff, faculty and students to undertake a variety of projects. The myriad projects are enhanced by the industry-leading equipment found in RDC’s research facilities and centres

Across the range of projects, the Office of Research and Scholarship is available to provide guidance and information through the Research Common and the Research Ethics Board.
