“It has been an enormous pleasure to have known Brittany Lausen in my work with Red Deer College. She is energetic, passionate and fearless.
In her role on the RDC Board of Governors, Brittany has been tireless in bringing the student perspective to our work. She has tackled many challenges, like assuming more responsibility on the Students’ Association executive when roles went unfilled. These challenges only fuel her, and she has risen to meet them with professionalism, passion and creativity. She has been a true advocate for the needs and concerns of Red Deer College learners, and has worked hard to establish a strong and supportive student community.
We are thrilled to have you serving with us on the Board. Your leadership and unwavering commitment to the institution is an inspiration to us all. Congratulations on receiving the RDC Foundation Outstanding Student Award, Brittany.”

"Brittany Lausen doesn’t back down. In her service to Red Deer College, she’s tackled some incredible challenges and, when speaking on behalf of the students she represents, Brittany is tenacious.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the RDC Alumni Association Board with Brittany, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together. The RDCAA is strong and we have a clear direction to create meaningful, lasting engagement between the College and our fellow alumni. I know that Brittany will stay connected to us as she continues into her career, but also that the impact she has had on her fellow students will keep them connected to us as well.
Brittany’s work, at it’s core, has been about community – creating a strong community in our student body, and garnering the support of community members to serve the needs of students. With this guiding her, I know her career will be as meaningful and as exciting as her time at Red Deer College has been.
Congratulations Brittany, you are truly outstanding!"
