New Student Orientation

Summer is in full swing which means fall and the start of classes is just around the corner! New students are invited to get to know RDC at this year's New Student Orientation, taking place on Wednesday, September 1 from 10 am to 3 pm. More details will be made available in the near future - check back here soon! 

RDC General Information Sessions

Are you interested in attending RDC? Not sure where to start? Let us explore what your educational journey could look like at RDC through an interactive General Information Session. We'll discuss RDC's program offerings, the application process and answer any questions you may have.

Please note our sessions have concluded for the Spring, and will resume in Fall 2021. In the meantime, please feel free to contact the Student Connect Centre (403.342.3254 or studentconnect [at] rdc [dot] ab [dot] ca) for information on becoming an RDC student. 

Student Loan Information Sessions

Do you need help applying for student loans? Register for a Student Loan Information Session! Within these virtual meetings, we will cover the basic Alberta Student Aid eligibility information, steps to apply, and address any questions you may have.

  • Wednesday, July 7 | 12 pm - 1 pm
  • Thursday, July 15 | 6 pm - 7 pm
  • Tuesday, July 20 | 9 am - 10 am
  • Wednesday, July 28 | 6 pm - 7 pm

In addition to the virtual sessions above, we are hosting two in-person Student Loan Application Drop-In Assistance sessions on Tuesday, July 27. As space is limited, please ensure you register for the drop-in timeframe of your choosing. Registrants are welcome to drop by anytime during their session timeframe, use the computers to access and complete their student loan application, and ask questions and receive assistance from one of our knowledgeable funding advisors. 

Student for a Day

Want to know what life is really like at Red Deer College? Spend a day here and see for yourself! Student for a Day provides those who are considering furthering their education at RDC the opportunity to experience what life is really like as a college student.

You will attend and participate in classes, tour our fantastic facilities, interact with current students, meet our instructors and learn about our admission requirements, student life, scholarships and much more! Student for a Day is FREE to attend and we even provide lunch!

Red Hot Science at RDC

Red Hot Science workshops at RDC provide a variety of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) experiences for youth groups and school groups in central Alberta.

RDC students can volunteer to help lead Red Hot Science activities, too.
