Leanne Vig has been an Accounting faculty member at RDC since 2009 and teaches primarily introductory accounting and taxation courses at the Donald School of Business. She brings over 15 years’ experience in public practice and small business real-world application into her classroom. Her scholarly work focuses on active learning in the classroom, the online teaching and learning environment and faculty development.

Leanne is an award winning faculty member, recognized by RDC with a 2017 Recognition of Scholarly Activity Award and also by a national academic accounting association in 2016 with an Innovation in Accounting Education Award. She served as a Faculty Professional Development Consultant (Academic) for three years, and has been recognized for her leadership and success hosting RDC’s Spring 2017 Faculty Aboriginal Awareness conference.

Leanne is a proud alumni of one of the programs in which she now teaches, RDC’s Business Administration diploma and loves to provide mentorship to her students in their pursuit of a professional accounting designation, much like her instructors did for her. She earned her CGA designation in 1999, a MBA in 2013 and continues to pursue a variety of professional development and learning opportunities as she believes very strongly in lifelong learning.
