Kinesiology is the study of the science of movement. The program is designed so that students can complete 2 years of studies in order to transfer to a university and then enter the work force or transfer to a university and complete a Bachelor's degree. The program is designed for students wishing to transfer to the University of Alberta.

The Health Care Aide Certificate program at Red Deer College prepares you to work as a Health Care Aide in hospitals, continuing care facilities, as well as in clients' homes. You will be required to have 100% attendance for all practicum placements and may be required to work placement shifts in the evenings, nights and weekends during practicums.

Kinesiology is a diverse field involving the study of human movement from a variety of perspectives. You can choose to pursue either a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion or a University Transfer program that provides transfer opportunities to a university to complete a Bachelor’s degree.

Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate

The Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate at Red Deer College includes four major areas of study: phlebotomy, urinalysis, histology and microbiology. You will be trained to collect, process and prepare patient specimens, enter data, perform electrocardiograms and carry out basic laboratory procedures.
