Other Studies

Red Deer College is proud to offer a variety of programs in many different subject areas that allow our students to create a path to their next steps in their educational journey and success in their chosen careers.

RDC's programs include Open Studies, Academic Upgrading and Transitional Vocational Certificate,  and you'll find more information about each of the programs on the individual webpages.

RDC offers flexible learning programs and courses for our learners to suit their lifestyle and other commitments. What is flexible learning? Please see our flexible learning readiness checklist to prepare you for online learning.

As we all continue to adapt and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, RDC has decided that the majority of its courses will be delivered online for Fall Term 2020. We have a variety of resources about flexible learning in this section of our website to provide you with definitions, computer requirements, forms and tips and valuable information to help increase your comfort with online learning - whether this is something you do for one class or a path you choose to complete all of your studies. Another services we offer is off-campus testing and invigilators and test centres. Due to COVID-19 our campus testing services are temporarily suspended.

Flexible learning at RDC works in partnership with other provincial organizations such as Campus Alberta Central to bring post-secondary education to the Central Alberta Region.
