Becoming a Student
There are various steps to becoming a Red Deer College student, and Indigenous Student Services can help you navigate these.
Did you know that RDC has more than 100 programs? Find a program that interests you!
Certain programs at RDC recognize the need to facilitate access to post-secondary education for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners. In order to facilitate greater participation of Indigenous learners, certain programs have designated seats for applicants who are Status Indian/First Nations, Non-status Indian/First Nations, Metis or Inuit. Those programs are:
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (4 designated seats)
- Practical Nurse Diploma (2 designated seats)
- Justice Studies Diploma (4 designated seats)
Please go to “Program Admission Features” for each program for more information.
There are many different funding sources that can help to pay for your education. Indigenous Student Funding provides details on the options that may be available to you.
