Indigenization: Foundations and Context Course

Consider enrolling in the Indigenization: Foundations and Context course. This course examines the history and impact of Treaties, the Indian Act, Canada’s residential schools, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Explore the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Report and how they influence post-secondary institutions.

The course is open to all faculty and staff, with seminars taking place face-to-face, along with readings, resources, and assignments in Blackboard. Successful completion may grant prior learning assessment & recognition (PLAR) for Module 4 of the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Career Development Certificate.

    Seminar 1: Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 PM

    Seminar 2: Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 PM
